TAKK is an architecture studio based in Barcelona and New York, founded by Mireia Luzárraga and Alejandro Muiño. The studio’s work critically engages with the integration of ecological frameworks into architectural discourse and spatial production, aiming to develop new material and political imaginaries for the built environment.

Mireia Luzárraga is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Core I sequence at Columbia University GSAPP. Together with Alejandro Muiño, they were the Kengo Kuma Visiting Professors at the University of Tokyo in 2024, and Master Tutors at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona from 2018 to 2022.

They are the editors of 100 Words for Water, a book published by Lars Müller Publishers that brings together more than one hundred expert voices—including philosophers, architects, activists, and scientists—to create a conceptual toolkit aimed at reformulating our relationship with water amid growing ecological urgency.

In 2025, they served as the curators of the Catalan Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
TAKK’s work has received numerous awards and distinctions, including the FAD Awards (2025), the Design Vanguard Award (2024), the COAM Award (2022), and the Temps de les Arts Award (2022).
