Nuno Valentim

Nuno Valentim, Arquitectura e Reabilitação is an architectural practice founded in 1997 in Porto. It has more than 150 projects of different scales, programmes and frameworks. Among them are the Rehabilitation of the Andresen House/Gallery of Biodiversity and the Salabert House in the Botanical Garden of Porto, the expansion of the Lycée Français of Porto and the project of the Rehabilitation/Modernisation of the Bolhão Market. His practice is attentive to the reality where it operates and to its physical and human analysis, where architecture is understood as an activity of synthesis between programme and context and the architect is recognised as an author and fundamental actor in the response to social, environmental and landscape needs.
