Anna & Eugeni Bach

Ana & Eugeni Bach is a Finnish-Spanish architecture studio based in Barcelona. Blurring the boundaries of architecture, their interests spread across four activities: Professional, through public and private projects ranging from art installations, interior design, housing, public buildings and public space design that work with the unexpected to provide socially relevant responses; Academic, as associate professors in ETSAB UPC and ETSALS URL and currently Visiting Professors of Architecture at Washington University in St Louis, USA; Research, via projects and installations that deal with the perception of space; and Culture, as directors of the XV Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial and curators of the exhibition “Human Traces – World Heritage” at the Alvar Aalto Museum.

Their work has been exhibited in three editions of the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, la Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine de Paris, the ICO Museum in Madrid, and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art. They have participated in different workshops, lectures, juries and other academic venues in the Massachussets Instutute of Technology, Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, l’École Plythechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, ETH Zurich, Universidad Autónoma de Lisboa, École d’Architecture de la ville & des territoires Paris-Est, and University of Antwerp.

Atienza Maure

Atienza Maure is an architecture studio founded by Alonso Atienza and Miguel Ángel Maure in 2018 in Barcelona, following their graduation from ETSAM and a year of study at EPFL in Switzerland. Their work is defined by spatial, technical, and material exploration deeply connected to the local context. With an open approach to the vernacular—what is readily available—they reinterpret construction techniques and systems with a pragmatic yet hedonistic vision of architecture.
The studio has received significant recognition, including the Dezeen Award 2023 for Domestic Renovation, the COAM Emerging Award 2023, and the AJAC XIII Award for Best Built Work. They currently teach at ETSALS and BAU in Barcelona and have presented at conferences like ETSAB and COAC in Barcelona and KADK in Copenhagen. Their projects have been featured internationally, including exhibitions at Aedes Gallery in Berlin, Casa de la Arquitectura in Madrid, and the First Biennial of Young Architects of Catalonia.

Bangkok Tokyo Architecture

Bangkok Tokyo Architecture is an architectural studio founded by Wtanya Chanvitan and Takahiro Kume in 2017. The studio is fascinated by open-ended structures and the thoughtful assembly of everyday elements, blurring the lines between the ordinary and the exceptional. Their practice explores ways to liberate architecture from the realm of experts and professionals, aiming to discover potential models of sustainability. BTA has been recognized internationally, including being Highly Commended at the Architecture Review Emerging Awards 2023 and winning the Rice University Spotlight Award in 2024. Wtanya and Takahiro are both currently teaching at the International Program in Design and Architecture, Chulalongkorn University.

Barozzi Veiga

Barozzi Veiga, founded in Barcelona in 2004, works internationally on both public and private commissions, with a focus on cultural, civic and educational buildings. Its work has been widely exhibited and published in the specialist press.
Barozzi Veiga’s built work includes the Ribera del Duero Headquarter (2011), the Auditorium Infanta Elena in Águilas (2011), the Szczecin Philarmonic Hall (2014), the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur (2016), the Ragenhaus Musikschule in Bruneck (2018), the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts Lausanne (2019), the Tanzhaus Zürich (2019), the two Artists’ Ateliers in London (2021), and the Aesop Store in Barcelona (2022).
Currently, the office is developing projects in Belgium, Germany, France, Spain, UK, China and UAE, as well as the United States, where it has been commissioned to create a new masterplan that will reconfigure the Art Institute of Chicago.
Barozzi Veiga has received numerous awards over the years. Among others, in its first decade of practice, it won the Ajac Young Catalan Architect Award (2007), the Barbara Cappochin International Architecture Award (2011), the Gold Medal for Italian Architecture Best Debut Work (2012), the Young Talent of Italian Architecture (2013) and the Design Vanguard Award (2014). In 2015 the Szczecin Philharmonic received the Mies van der Rohe Award for European Architecture, the International FAD Opinion Award and the Life in Architecture Award. In 2018 the Bündner Kunstmuseum Chur won the RIBA Award for International Excellence. In 2019 the office was granted the Chicago Atheneum International Award, the Best Architects 20 Award and the AD Award Architects of the Year. More recently, the newly built MCBA Lausanne won the Grand Prix Erich Mendelsohn Award for Brick Architecture (2020). In 2023 the office received the Premio Presidente della Repubblica, as a sign of appreciation for the creative activity, representing the highest institutional recognitions of the Italian Republic.

Bruther

Stéphanie Bru and Alexandre Theriot founded Bruther in 2007 in Paris. Bruther’s work is the subject of numerous international publications – notably 2G and El Croquis – and in 2022, the Japanese magazine A+U devoted an entire issue to their work. Distinguished by several awards, they have received the Équerre d’Argent prize three times (2016, 2018 and 2020), the Dejean prize in 2018 from the Academy of Architecture and in 2020 the Swiss Architectural Award. Stéphanie Bru became a full member of the Academy of Architecture in 2021 and is also a professor at the UDK in Berlin. Alexandre Theriot is a professor at ETH Zurich. Together they are visiting professors at GSD Harvard.

Daryan Knoblauch

Daryan Knoblauch is an architect, designer and researcher based in Berlin and London. He founded his eponymous practice in 2023, devoted to using architecture as a medium of communication by fusing elements of contemporary culture, nature and technology through build design and research.
Driven by various sociocultural venture points, architecture is foreseen as a threshold that mediates between high and youth culture, while working most comfortably within the cultural sector collaborating with various disciplines, transcending the conventional boundaries of the profession.
Daryan Knoblauch teaches as a Studio Master at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and is an Assosciate Lecturer at the Royal College of Art, leading the Central Media Studies Unit-MS9.
His work has been featured widely at the Architecture Festival Model, Concentrico Festival, Melbourne Design Week, Seoul Architecture Biennale and German Center for Literature among others. PARABASE is an entity registered by Carla Ferrando and Pablo Garrido Arnaiz in 2021, after working for offices such as Herzog & de Meuron, Foster & Partners, Diener & Diener and Miller & Maranta.
PARABASE combines the development and construction of architectural projects with research and teaching at the Universities of Architecture in Bern and Mendrisio in Switzerland. PARABASE has been invited to participate in juries and lectures at various institutions, among others: ETH Zurich, AAM Mendrisio, FHNW Basel, HEAD Genève, BFH Bern, Harvard GSD, SCI-Arc, TU München, KIT Karlsruhe, Aarhus School of Architecture, Royal Academy Copenhagen, Polimi Milano, IUAV Venice, ETSAM Madrid and FAU Santiago de Chile. Stand van Zaken

Stand van Zaken — translated as State of Play — is a modular organism that that brings together specialists across various fields. It thrives on fluidity and adaptability, continuously reshaping itself in response to the contexts and encounters that inspire its projects. Founded by Belgian architects Theo De Meyer and Stefanie Everaert (co-founder of doorzon interieur architecten), it serves as a dynamic framework for capturing these moments in time.
Stand van Zaken is centered around the creation of processes, spaces, and objects. It develops innovative works that merge diverse knowledge and skills, opening up creative possibilities. These collaborations are driven by a desire to craft new contexts and experiences, reinterpreting spaces and materials to uncover new meanings within familiar environments.

Alberto Veiga

Barozzi Veiga, founded in Barcelona in 2004, works internationally on both public and private commissions, with a focus on cultural, civic and educational buildings. Its work has been widely exhibited and published in the specialist press.
Fabrizio and Alberto regularly lecture about their theoretical background and design approach and participate in academic activities worldwide. They have been invited to present their work at MIT, Cornell University, Yale School of Architecture, IIT Chicago, Royal Academy of Arts in London, Berlage Institute, ETH Zürich, IUAV Venezia, University of Hong Kong and FAUP Oporto, among many other important universities and institutions around the world. In 2020 both were nominated foreign members of the Académie d’Architecture.

Stefanie Everaert

Stefanie Everaert (1975, Ghent) studied interior architecture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and began her career in the studio of Maarten Van Severen. In 2005, she co-founded doorzon interieur architecten with Caroline Lateur. Together with her partner, architect Theo De Meyer, she established Stand Van Zaken in 2019. Since 2015, she has been teaching at KU Leuven (Campus Sint-Lucas Ghent) in both bachelor’s and master’s programmes, and in 2023–2024 she was a visiting professor at EPFL, Switzerland.

Takahiro Kume

Takahiro earned his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Ritsumeikan University. He has experience working in various offices in Japan. He has taught at Tokyo University of Science and the School of Architecture and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and currently teaches at the International Program in Design and Architecture at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.

Theo De Meyer

Theo De Meyer lives and works in Ghent, Belgium. De Meyer moves between architecture, design and the arts, often reconciling the various disciplines in his projects. He plays with context and scale, interprets and transforms, creating new worlds from the act of building.
In addition to his work as an architect, De Meyer is also teaching. Collaboration plays an important role in his cross-disciplinary practice. He and Stefanie Everaert (doorzon interieur architecten) together represent the core of the modular collective Stand Van Zaken (‘State of Affairs’), who create furniture and architecture in collaboration with specialists in various fields. Driven by the shared enthusiasm of its members, Stand van Zaken supports the creation and development of objects, buildings and ideas.

Wtanya Chanvitan

Wtanya earned her Bachelor of Architecture from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in Bangkok, Thailand and her Master’s of Architecture from Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan. She has taught at the School of Architecture and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and currently teaches at the International Program in Design and Architecture, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.

Asiya Sharipova

Asiya Sharipova is an architect based in Zurich. She studied at TU Dresden and ETH Zurich, where she completed her diploma in 2021 with the thesis “Vetêmets,” fully dedicated to the topic of reuse at Studio Christ & Gantenbein. During her studies, she spent a year in New York City working on the 505 State Street tower. After four years of professional experience at E2A Architects, she is currently a member of TEN and teaches as a master’s program assistant at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).

Luís Pedro de Macedo

Luís Pedro de Macedo is a Portuguese architect and urban planner based in Zürich. He co-founded – ambar in 2023 with Duarte Barbosa Pereira, a practice committed to resource-sensitive and socially engaged projects that explore local craftsmanship, pre-fabrication, and circular approaches to building. Since 2021, he has taught at Porto Academy and has been invited as a guest critic at HFT Stuttgart. He previously worked with Caruso St. John Architects, Miroslav Šik, Knapkiewicz & Fickert, Mathias Klotz, and aNC Architects, and served as an Urban Planner for the United Nations in Africa. He is also a Board Member and European Chapter Director of MaSCA – Mathare Slums Community Association, supporting community-led initiatives in Nairobi’s Mathare slums.

Samuele Bertoni 

Samuele Bertoni is a Zurich-based architect, he obtained an MAS from the University of Ferrara and studied at Faup in Porto.

After working for Nuno Brandão Costa Arquitectos in Porto and Arquitectura G in Barcelona he’s currently working at E2A in Zurich.

He collaborated as an assistant in several academic workshops at the Porto Academy with studios including Salottobuono, Fondamenta and Daryan Knoblauch. In 2024, his project “Gypsotechno” (in collaboration with HPO Collective) was selected for the Swiss Biennale of Territory in Lugano.

Teresa Sánchez Táboas

Teresa Sánchez Táboas (Pontevedra, 1988) approaches contemporary architecture with a thoughtful blend of narrative and precision.

Founder of Gramática Arquitectónica, her studio explores spatial narratives across scales—from industrial landscapes to intimate dwellings. A graduate of ETSAM and alumna of IIT Chicago, her academic path includes mentorship under Sou Fujimoto and Creus e Carrasco in A Coruña.

Her work has been featured in ArchDaily, Architectural Digest, Divisare, and Arquitectura Viva, and she’s a laureate of the prestigious Europe 40under40® award (2023–2024), recognizing her as one of the brightest architectural minds under 40 in Europe.

Teresa’s projects—like Casa Máxima and Vers une Industrie Légère—blend sustainability, landscape, and social intention. She’s also a voice in architectural publishing, co-directing Obradoiro, the journal of the Galician Architects’ Association (2025–2027), and previously contributing to Experimenta Magazine.

Her project Castro da Costiña was recently selected as a finalist in the Createurs Awards for Best Hospitality Project—standing alongside works by renowned architects such as Norman Foster and Bergendy Cooke, a testament to her rising influence in the international architectural scene.

Indexnewspaper

Indexnewspaper is a magazine of architecture printed in newspaper paper.
The editorial contains an interview, a visit to an office, projects and works, and essays. The front cover has an ” artwork ” designed by an invited artist.
Since 2012 Indexnewspaper has been part of several worldwide events related to publishing and editorial design.
Indexnewspaper was awarded with the prize Clube de Criativos de Portugal 2012 for editorial design and selected for the collection of the library of MOMA in New York.
Alongside with the regular edition, Indexnewspaper published special editions and the edition of books. Indexnewspaper has also organized conferences, exhibitions, and workshops.

Indexshop presents you an ongoing independent selection of books and objects of architects, artists and designers. It is also the Indexnewspaper and Porto Academy official store.

Beyond its curatorial vocation, Indexshop is increasingly committed to supporting architectural practice by supplying studios with a carefully selected range of architectural hardware and project-specific solutions.

With surfaces above 98% structural glass, minimalist windows are all about glazing. From an industrial point of view, more significant glass dimensions require larger tempering furnaces, smooth operability and technical performances impose precision and higher quality standards, often more demanding than defined by international glass processing norms.
To keep up with new challenges, panoramah! verticalized its industrial activity and integrated glass transformation in 2011. Continuously investing in its transformation capacity ever since, it became one of the largest glass transformers in Europe with a 9-metre furnace and the ability to process double- and triple-glazed units up to 29 sqm. This capacity has proved critical in different processes, mainly as glass progressively absorbs new functions, admits irregular and curved shapes or assumes various aesthetic requirements.
